Zoomark Breaks Exhibitor Record
Zoomark International 2009 posted what organizers called “excellent results,” with more exhibitors and foreign buyers.
The biennial exposition, held May 7-10 at the BolognaFiere Exhibition Center in Bologna, Italy, attracted a record 616 exhibiting companies. This represented a 2 percent increase from 604 exhibitors in 2007.
According to organizers, 57 percent of exhibitors (353 companies) came from 36 different countries. Best represented were China, the United States, Germany and Britain.
More than 20,400 buyers from all parts of the world pounded the pavement in the exhibit halls. Overall attendance was similar to that in 2007, but attendance by buyers from foreign countries increased almost 10 percent, show organizers said.
“We are satisfied especially because our show proved to be able to grow and strengthen its international role evidently against the trend of an extremely difficult world economic situation,” said Adolfo Somigliana, on behalf of the Zoomark organizing team.
The next edition of Zoomark International will take place May 12-15, 2011, in Bologna.
Zoomark International is organized by Centro Studi Zoomark (Naples, Italy). For more information about the show, e-mail centrostudi@zoomark.it or visit www.zoomark.it. [July 2009 PET AGE]
